Driver Helpers support the delivery drivers by performing the following duties:
– Ride inside the cab of a delivery truck each day learning the hand-held computer.
– Load and unload product from trucks, pallets, racks and shelves by hand, hand truck, and/or electric pallet jack usage, as appropriate.
– Read product order or follow oral instructions to ascertain load-in by location
– Convey product between truck and designated loading and delivery area.
– Arrange products according to prearranged plan in store or stock room per route driver’s directions.
-Accurately record number of units delivered via hand held, along with breakage and spoilage.
-Other duties may be assigned by the Route Driver or other supervisor at any time.
